A Super Duper Happy New Year!!!

It's the time of the year again... a time for me to do some self reflection... so bear with me.. :)
I started this blog on 23th Oct 2007 ...check out the work then... :P and here is the entry from last New Year Eve... i am sure glad that this blog is still up and running..
*phew* :P

An interesting fact about blog is that it could really document your progress... in details... exactly what i set to do when i first started... of cuz it is also a good platform to showcase your work... so if you are a budding wedding photographer... get yourself a blog!! and a facebook too!! :P

LRDP have definitely grown thru the years... more people got to know about us... i hv more opportunities to shoot wedding... definitely a good thing... n I am truly blessed with all the couples who have entrusted me with their wedding... i can never be any more grateful to them....

Ok.. I am not going to lie... it is not all smooth sailing... i do have my fair share of nasty clients as well... juz that i don't really blog about them... but i am sure glad that they are the minority... anyway... it was also thru them that i grew.... i guess in all service industry... there are certain expectation... but then again do you consider a wedding photographer a service provider, like estate/insurance agent, or an artist whom are proud of their work?? Something for me to ponder on... :)

There were difficult times too... times when i felt maybe my work aren't good enough....maybe this is not worth doing at all... I do made some money from wedding... but it seem that these money are also mostly spent on equipment... money are spent when equipment failed... hard disk crashed... and computer breakdown... i have not done my housekeeping yet... but i doubt the profit margin are high if any at all... *sweat*

So why am i still shooting??... simply... because i love what i'm able to do... i love the fact that i could preserve the very moment of a couple life and translate it into a beautiful piece of art... especially when couples and readers are appreciative of your work... it pushes me even further.. n yes.... there are so much more to be done... n this journey shall continue... :)

Looking at LRDP 2010 calender... it is definitely gonna be an exciting year ahead... :) i would like to take this opportunity to thank all LRDP couples, readers and potential clients... thank you so much for your continuous support.... :)

With one of my favourite 2009 wedding image...
LRDP wishes all a SUPER DUPER HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! :)

To : The "love of my life"... Thank You so much for always being there for me... u can never imagine how important it's to me!!... :) Happy 11th Anniversary!! ...(see i didn't forget or is it??) :P

An Intimate Affair...

It's pretty amazing how Sagun got to know about my services... it's through the internet.. an advertising portal with hundred of photographers listing... So it is really an honor that this IT savvy Groom was able to narrow it down to LRDP... :)

I only got to meet the bride, Josephine, on the day itself because she was based in Kuala Lumpur. A really nice and gorgeous lady who is so warm... they make me feel so much like a guest... Yesterday ceremony was so far, one of the most intimate wedding i have documented. No crowd, no elaborate set up... just close friends and relatives in a cosy restaurant that serve excellent lamb rack and dessert.... If this is a food blog... the restaurant is a definite "die die must try". :)

Here is a little teaser for all the lovely people i met yesterday...

Do stay tune for more!! :)

A Christmas Day Wedding...

A simple, no fuss wedding could never be any more beautiful... especially one held in the exquisite setting of Grand Shanghai... With good food and nice people... nobody is missing out anything on christmas day...

Chee Seng and Karen are definitely one interesting couple to work with... like how Chee Seng explained when he tried to pull off Karen's Veil while unveiling her... "it's his first time getting married"... hmm... think i heard it again a couple of time after that... :P

Even amidst their busy schedule, they took the effort to make sure that i am well taken care... it's really kind of them...
Though the rain did not subside when we tried to do the outdoor shoot... we managed to get one shot way before the storm... :) Definitely one of my favourite... beautiful setting and absolutely stunning couple...

Chee Seng and Karen : Thank You so much for having me at your wedding... U guys have been really kind and wonderful!! :)

Stay tune for more from this beautiful ceremony... :)

LRDP is on Facebook!!!

It took me quite some time to figure out how it works... :)
n finally we are on Facebook....

Join us as a fan... check out our latest work... :)

A touch of Hong Kong...

Lots of bling bling in this wedding... a little taste of a traditional Hong Kong ceremony... even Andy evening suit was from the Hong Kong... like how Melvin mentioned.. not very common in Singapore... :)

Though it was the first time we met... Emily and her bunch of bridesmaid have been really nice and easy to work with... as for the boys.... they rock the house with the latest fab.. "Nobody Dance"... not at the gatecrashing but with a well prepared performance at the banquet... certainly entertaining.. :)

Before i start working of others album...
here are some sneak peek from the wedding of Andy & Emily...

Counting Sheep... n being inspired!!!

I should be sleeping right now.... counting sheep doesn't seem to help...
gonna be covering another wedding in a few hrs time... cant really account how many wedding i have done so far... but its quite a bit.... enough for me to go brain dead... i am in need of inspiration... in every wedding i strive to create beautiful images... images that are different from my previous wedding... pretty tough though... but i guess that is the only way to bring my craft to greater height...

{Pardon me... the sleepless night is making me a bit emo} :P

Documented a solemnization ceremony today (yesterday).... the weather wasnt on our side... but Ryan & Yun Kai were sporty enough to brave through the rain for beautiful pictures... :)
Both of them have signed me up during our first meet up.... n right after that session... Ryan sent me an sms thanking me... not many people actually does that... and its a simple gesture that goes a long way...

Got a "Thank You" msg from both of them today too... knowing that they do check out my blog... here a little teaser for this really kind and lovely couple... :)

Looking forward to creating more beautiful images tomorrow (later)... but i gonna get some sleep first.... long & exciting day ahead... Good Night!!! :)

A wedding with lots of DSLR... :)

Definitely 1 wedding with the most DSLRs around... with kids running all over and relatives armed with "the big gun"... Melvin (Loud! Productions) and myself literally had to maneuver in a commando style of shooting... not easy but pretty fun... :P

Here is a little teaser from yesterday wedding....

Waiting for the lift or answering your HP will never be the same with a lobby like The Regent... :)

n here is a shot of us with the couple, Andy & Emily (u guys rock)... :)

Stay tune for more images from this beautiful wedding...
