A Jumping Affair...

Haven been updating my blog..... as you might have realised, i only got into wedding photography early this year.. n only until recently that i started sending out my contact.... so most of my enquires and confirmation for wedding are for the nxt coming year... which mean its only until nxt yr that i will be shooting wedding again.. :( ... pls bear with it... im still in the process of building up my portfolio... :)

anyway.. i love to make couples jump during my photoshoot :P ... love the way the photo turn out...

... i do it for a reason.... so my future couples... "be prepared" : )

Nikon D300... shld i or shld i not....

This is 1 cool camera... the latest in the market.... excellent noise control... 51 foucs pt with 3d tracking.. good for wedding, certainly an upgradge frm my current system.. tested it out.... feel darn good on my hand... but shld i get it or not... argh..

anyway... in the process of doing up my portfolio... came across these photos... wat do i have to say...

im really glad that that Kah Hwee and Chin Nee like the slideshow... the greatest achievement for an artist ... is for someone to appreciate his work.... :) this is the joy of being an artist and a wedding photographer..

This journey is just beginning for me and there is still plenty of stuff out there for me to explore... hopefully i will have the opportunities to improve in my work.... im not really bother about the profit in this business... the reason why im in this is because i enjoy what im doing.. i guess that what makes an artist from just a commerical wedding photographer..

Kah Hwee & Chin Nee

Fianlly, im done with their actual day slideshow... been searching thru my music library and found this song suit the mood and feel of that day the best... music have always been an inspiration in my work.... i will usually use the song that inspired me most, when working on the photos, for the slideshow.... hopefully they will like it.. :)

Outdoor Shoot...

If time permits for the couples.. i will always include a outdoor shoot for my Actual Day and even ROM/Solemnization package... why??... cuz i enjoy doing it : ) ...

White Walls...

Could u imagine what white walls could do as a back drop in a photo?....

Take a look at these.... it was not taken in a studio... but at the bride place in the morning... i was there to document the make up session of the bride when i realised that they have a side of white wall with perfect lighting and i took every photo opportunities of it...

i love white walls... : )

Ipoh Rejoiced....

Yesterday AD was a blast.... everything went smoothly... althought i almost cant convert my slideshow to DVD.. lucky i have another program to do the job (phew)... BIG HEADACHE.....

Did i mention that the groom is a very talented artist?... By request, i have included 3 caricature drawn by the him, in the slideshow.... he is indeed very good at it... :)

Anything... but simple...

I just got back from Ipoh. Beautiful place, nice people and great food.... : ) they have been stuffing me with so much nice food that i feel like im there for a holiday....

The ceremony were anything but simple. Relatives from all over the country were there.. even the neighbours were involved. Its the kampong spirits that we never find in singapore.

Everybody seem to know each other in the small town.

Ok... back to reality...

i need to rush those photos and do a video montage for their actual day which is this coming monday... haha..

Away in Ipoh....

In a few hours time, i will be in Ipoh to cover the Tea Ceremony and Wedding Dinner of Kah Hwee and Chin Nee. They told me it is gonna be a simple ceremony cuz their main actual day will be on 3 dec in Singapore. Thus the challenge will be on me to make sure nothing get pass me even though it is a simple ceremony.

Singapore Young Photographer Award 2008

Finally, the Asean Summit is over...... imagine having to work the whole week, without a full day off.

Nevertheless, everything went well and I'm back in business : ) ....

After much deliberation, i have decided to submit some of my work for the Young Photographer Award 2008. i know there are many talented photographers out there, but i guess i have to start somewhere (since I'm still within the age limit). This is my first photo competition, and the experience is more important than winning, but of cuz winning will be a bonus for me. : )

Orchard Rejoiced (Behind the Scene)

i have always love the candidness moment in a wedding. A lot of time, what happened behind the camera can be as beautiful as a picture perfect moment. The challenge is to be able to capture and preserve these for the couples.

Recently, i did an engagement shoot for Yeow Kang and Kwee Lin. i really enjoyed myself, and i should give credit to the very spontaneous and daring couple(posing infornt of the crowd). They really make my day. Hopefully, i didnt disappoint them.

Why a Blog??

Being relatively new to wedding photography, i would like to document every step i took in this journey. So in years to come... when we look back.. hopefully i will see myself improving.

I believe in connecting personally with couples who have engaged in me. Only by doing so, will i be able to preserve and capture the most precious moment naturally. Having said that, this blog also serve as a platform to showcase my work to those who believe in my art. It will also be a channel for couples to better understand my style in photography. Only then would they decide if i am the one to document the most important day of theirs' life.
